Student Voice: Week Four, Term Two

In maths, Room 18 have been collecting data and presenting it on a graph. The problem we were trying to solve this week is that the disco is coming up and the school leaders have to buy drinks to sell.
First we made a question “What is your one favourite drink?” Then we asked each class member and recorded the results.
After that we presented the results in a graph.

Komaljit.

We found that people had different results to the same question because of the way they chose to record and present information. We learned that some valuable results could be ‘lost’ or unusable if we do not carefully consider the purpose of our investigation when planning how to collect and present data.

Another highlight of the week:

On Monday, 10th May, a lady called Katy came to our school from FOOTSTEPS Dance Company. She had 30 minutes to teach Room 18 and Room 20 a little routine. At the end we did the dance all together. We loved the dance that Katy came to show us. We thank her heaps. We had great fun.
