Golf
We (Room 7) have gone to two sessions of Golf for the past two weeks! Everyone was excited and we were looking forward to learning the basics of golfing!
Last week, when we arrived at the Adventure Playground, a golfing pro teacher was waiting for us. He then explained that ‘golf’ stood for ‘gentlemen only, ladies forbidden’ a long time ago and that the two golden rules were ‘Be Safe’ and ‘Have Fun’!
We paired up with a partner and we practiced catching the golf ball (which is actually a tennis ball) and throwing it while practising aiming and accuracy.
As soon as that’s over, we got our golf clubs and practiced swinging and hitting the golf ball. That was the best part! We tried hitting as far as possible and so far the boys have won that challenge.
Then, this week, we walked down from our new classroom and arrived at the courts where the pro was waiting with ready equipment. Then we started putting the golf balls. We had to reach the middle of the court in order to win this challenge. Our team only got to ¼ of the whole court :( :P
After that, we had a go to practise our swings and techniques. We had to position ourselves according to this :
- Left hand
- Right hand
- Left foot
- Right foot
- Pigu Pop (supposedly what Chinese people say as rear end)
- FIRE !
